VENUS & THE VIXENS: GAMES OF LOVE
Venus & the Vixens is an interactive rock musical and an immersive theatrical experience, featuring original music and some of Seattle's finest performers. This fresh take on the mythological tale of Cupid and Psyche’s epic love story is filled with games of chance, aerial flourishes, physical challenges, and playful surprises.
Our opening run in spring 2024 served as a joyous antidote to post-pandemic isolation and technology overload. Guests grabbed drinks and bites at the bar, enjoyed playing games with fellow attendees, and lost themselves in the electro-pop sounds of a heart-pumping all-female disco-rock band.
This interactive rock musical based on the myth of Cupid and Psyche had a sold-out 3-week run in 2025. We had incredible support from a selection of major donors in our community and an amazing Kickstarter campaign, making it possible to hire 40 artists and offer the art at incredibly low ticket prices. ASL interpretation provided during the June 7th performance ensured an inclusive experience for all attendees. It brought people together, reminding us all: You can’t win if you don’t play!
Venus & The Vixens Soundtrack Release Party, Nov 21st!
Venus and the Vixens, Martha’s outrageous original musical, created in collaboration with Composer and Musical Director Sari Breznau and Writer and lead performer Caela Bailey, returns with a soundtrack release party! With fiscal sponsorship from Shunpike, a grant through Jack Straw, and sustained support from 4Culture, Sari, Caela, and the Vixens band recorded the soundtrack at Jack Straw Studios and will present a limited-ticket event for 1 night only at the Rabbit Box in Pike Place Market, Saturday, Nov. 21st, with shows at 6:30 and 9:00!
